People turn into things like this when they contract the Space Plague. Interestingly, it often happens on Earth, but I guess it's a part of space, too. They're very slow on movement, but stupidly fast on attack. Killing them is a matter of quantity, not quality. The fables about shooting them in the head are just that: fables. Attack: Lethal Daze.
