This Way assumes that the best way to victory is to allow the enemy to act, to absorb their attacks or to flee in order to lure them into a trap and defeat them. It emphasizes guile and learning the enemy's way of thinking. Provocation and manipulation are important, as they allow for more efficient plans. In direct combat, Htiranah'shanah adepts concentrate on defense and counter-attacks. Their ritual weapon is an executioner's sword, relatively heavy for a Nekomimi melee weapon and with a blunt tip. According to this Way, the unwieldiness of such weapon in an equal fight is an important lesson - a properly trapped enemy is doomed.
