All the Black Sun weirdness we've witnessed - their Warp weaponry, VooDoo powers, summoning of strange entities - is ultimately the product of their long-running experiments with Shadowrealms. The project they had Dr. X running for them was only one of their research paths, only the Thule Group aware of the big picture. Of particular interest to them was the desolate 'Realm of Despair'. Taking advantage of the chaos there, they managed to tap its energies to somehow resurrect Zander, the Knight of Cydonia, whom they dubbed 'The Leader'. With the information from this tape, we can open a Tannhauser Gate to the location of 'Temple' where he can be found and finally find the answers, both for Dr. X and for ourselves.
